What happened to Ikumi Yoshimatsu…

This article might just answer your questions about Ikumi Yoshimatsu – Miss International 2012. It seems that she is barred from attending any activity – including the coronation night – of Miss International 2013 in order not to overshadow the event with Ikumi’s issues against a top talent agency.

I just hope that ICA (International Culture Association) did better in handling the situation. At the end of the day, Ikumi is the recognized queen so she should be crowning her successor. If they didn’t want an association with her then they should have fired her beforehand. Asking a former queen to crown the winner, when in fact the reigning queen is very much available shows so much disrespect! As a fan, I am just disappointed with ICA. Ikumi is the very first Japanese winner of a Miss International title. I believe that she deserves great respect and should be treated extra special 🙂
